Teacher Leadership in Curriculum Redesign

The following message is from the University of Alberta:

The Department of Secondary Education is pleased to announce a unique learning and leadership opportunity for Alberta teachers.

Teacher Leadership In Curriculum Redesign: A Working Conference

Join educators from across Alberta to engage in an in-depth exploration of what it means to practice inspired education.

Delegates will not only hear from renowned speakers, but will work with them to hash out ideas, share and compare contexts, and confront the status-quo thinking that often impedes curricular reform. Conversations will flow from large group plenary sessions, to workshops led by expert facilitators, to small group break-out conversations and informal garden talks. Using historical, theoretical, and place-based lenses, participants will gain the knowledge they need to teach and lead in a time of rapid curriculum change.

Tues., Aug. 19, 2014 | 1:30 pm - Thurs. Aug.21, 2014 | 3:30 pmEducation Building, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB

Conference fees & registration $225
